Playany v1.5 (September 1994) - This is a utility that I use to play various sound files from the command line or a batch file. Here is a description from the docs included in the archive:
PLANY will play any sound file through the SoundBlaster.
Currently supported sound types:
SoundBlaster .VOC
Sun/NeXT/DEC .AU
Windows .WAV
Sounder/Soundtools .SND
Amiga .8SVX .IFF
In addition, PLANY will attempt to detect and play the sound samples contained in Amiga .MOD files.
If PLANY is unable to identify the header of the sound file, it will default to 'unsigned' and '11000 samples/sec', unless changed by command line options.
Press any key during playback to terminate output.

BOOTUP.EXE is a simple utility written in Turbo Pascal 5.5 by Alex Thorpe, who goes by the user name ALPHAX on most local boards.
The program greets you, according to the time of day; tells you the date, including the day of the week; tells the DOS version; lists the free space on drives C: and D:, if any; displays the free memory for your programs; and lists certain available programs.
